Niseko Back Bowls |
9900Yen
+2700Yen gear rental if necessary
* Lift Ticket not included |
Our most popular trip, the Back Bowls tour is backcountry without all the hard work as we take advantage of the Niseko lifts to lap up top to bottom powder runs all day long. Our professional, certified guides will make sure weather and avalanche conditions are right, outfit you with the appropriate safety equipment (if you don't already have your own) and take care of the directions. Most of the runs do require short hikes to access but legwork is kept to a minimum with all runs skiing back to chairlifts. Weather permitting, we'll finish the day by dropping off the back side of the mountain down to the secluded Goshiki hot springs. After a relaxing dip and refreshing beverage, our shuttle vehicle will take care of the return journey. Remember to bring your towel. Onsen fee included in tour.

Niseko 1 day Backcountry tour |
9900Yen
+2700Yen gear rental if necessary * Inlcudes Guide and transport only |
For a full day experience in the backcountry sign up for our 1 day trip. If weather conditions permit we will head up the mountain from Niseko and start the day with a short hike to Hirafu peak. From here we will ski 2000 vertical feet down the north face of the mountain before strapping on our touring gear for the first time. There are a range of options from here, usually starting with a hike to the peak of Iwaonupurri. Other peaks within range are Nihonupurri and Chisenupurri, so depending on your fitness it is possible to bag up to 4 peaks during the day.
If alpine visibility is poor or the peak of Hirafu is closed, we will drive around the backside and spend our day hiking ridges below treeline where visibility is better.
Either way, we will finish the day by skiing down to the beautiful Goshiki onsen located at the foot of our last run. Grab a beer from the nearest vending machine and allow your burning legs to relax in this natural hot spring.

If you want to get out in the backcountry but aren't feeling up to a full day excursion this tour is for you. We depart Niseko in the morning and head around to the back side of the mountain to a tiny resort named Chisenupurri. The runs are very short but serviced by a high speed chair allowing us to quickly explore the resort. After lunch, we pull out the touring gear, catch the lift one last time and then begin hiking to the peak of Chisenupurri. From the peak, we ski a beautiful open alpine bowl, then continue down below treeline ending at Chisenupurri onsen. If you're up to it, we can head back for a second lap or call it a day and relax in the natural hot spring. Transport, lift ticket, lunch and onsen included.

Shiribetsu 1 day Backcountry Tour |
10900Yen
+2700Yen gear rental if necessary * Inlcudes Guide and transport only |
Adjacent to nearby Rusutsu resort, Shiribetsu-dake (Mount Shiribetsu) offers a formidable backcountry challenge and some immaculate fall line skiing. Our day begins right from Rusutsu resort where we take advantage of a couple of chairlifts to gain a little bit of vertical before setting out on foot.
The hike starts off fairly steep and challenging but one of the great things about this hike is that the entire climb takes place on ridgeline offering spectacular views of the surrounding peaks including Mount Yotei and Niseko Annupurri throughout. In general we spend about 3 hours on the ascent before reaching the peak. The descent is a straight top to bottom shot with consistent pitch for the first 300+ meters before slowly mellowing out into a cruisy powder bowl. The run finishes in typical Hokkaido style as we wind through the trees and back to civilization.
Time permitting, there are a couple of additional backcountry powder options
that we will take advantage of if your crew isn't too worn out from the first climb.

Yotei Tour |

If the dominating peak of Mount Yotei has been calling your name and you are looking for a challenge, this tour is for you. This hike can take between 5 and 8 hours to reach the summit and will truly test your fitness.
Weather conditions need to be ideal for this trip to run, as visibility, wind and avalanche conditions are all major factors which may prevent us from being able to head up.
If you're interested please let us know when you will be in town and we will work with you to pick a day when summiting is realistic.
