This is truly our specialty at BDTours and we offer a tour like no other. Unlike most operators, we do not lock into a concrete itinerary and will make every effort to adjust our trip based on changing weather conditions and your input.
Hokkaido is home to a number of great hills all of which enjoy the same great powder that Niseko is renowned for. Most of these resorts are quite small so we generally recommend only spending 1 or 2 days at each and resort hopping around the island. The sheer volume and diversity offered by so many resorts is the reason why most of us at Black Diamond have remained in Hokkaido so long and getting out on the road always makes for a unique and memorable trip. Conveniently, with so many resorts, there is usually under an hour travel time from one to the next.
We generally base ourselves from Asahikawa, Furano or Tomamu with multiple resorts within easy reach of each of these towns. This limits our hotel changes and travel time while still being able to get to a number of different areas over just a few days.
See below for a list of the resorts we visit and click here for further information.

Great for the first time visitor to Hokkaido, our Niseko package leaves several days to explore the entire Niseko United area but makes sure that you don't leave Hokkaido without sampling some of her other great resorts. We start with a guided tour of Niseko to help you get off on the right foot and figure out how the 4 resorts of Niseko link together.
On any day of your choosing through the week, we will take you to Rusutsu resort to check out some of Hokkaido's best, open gladed skiing. This is a very popular excursion but we will help you to pick the right day to avoid the crowds and get the best snow.
At the end of the week, we will depart Niseko and head to either Sapporo Kokusai or Teine Highland near the city of Sapporo. After an epic day of skiing/riding, we will take you directly to your accomodation in Sapporo.
From here, take in the sights and sounds of this vibrant city, sample some of the cuisine and for those up to it, take your chances with the 24 hour night life. The following morning, head out for some shopping and souvenir collecting before making your way to the airport for your flight.

Please Note: Depending on the length of your stay in Hokkaido, we can adjust any package or tour to suit. Also, receive a 10% discount off any other day tours you are interested in going on while you are here (eg. Snowmobiling, backcountry etc.)
*Price based on twin share accomodation.

The powder tour of a lifetime.
If you're looking for the ultimate adventure and most action packed week, this is the trip for you. Particularly recommended if this is your second or third trip to Hokkaido and you want to get off the beaten path to some of the smaller resorts on the island. We start in Niseko with three days to get your fill of Hokkaido's biggest resort before heading out and resort hopping our way around the island.
This trip offers two options, the first to head to central Hokkaido where the resorts of Furano, Kamui Ski Links, Asahidake and Kurodake are all accessible. Alternatively we head to Southeastern Hokkaido to ride at Tomamu and Sahoro resorts. Otherwise extend your trip by two or more days and visit all of the above. The Furano zone offers the most reliable powder conditions, while Tomamu and Sahoro are better known for actually getting the occasional sunny day and the least amount of traffic. Please check our resort information page link or inquire directly to figure out which route is best for you.
To make your decision easier though, after your arrival, if snow conditions are looking better in one area or the other we will do our best to adjust the trip accordingly. However, we do require that you pick a preferred route when booking.

If you've got the time, there is no better way than this to explore Hokkaido. This is our longest tour and the only trip that offers sufficient time to get your fill at ALL of the highlight mountains on the island.
As with most of our tours we kick things off in Niseko to get a feel for riding Hokkaido's biggest resort area and finding out what the hype is all about. We offer one guided day here to help sift through the tourist traps, find the best lines on the mountain and get you out into Niseko's phenomenal backcountry bowls.
From Niseko we will get over to nearby Rusutsu, then head into Sapporo for a couple of days at the local resorts - there are a couple of gems here that shouldn't be missed. This also offers an opportunity to experience a unique Japanese city and all of its cuisine, nightlife and shopping but in a more manageable environment than the megacities of Tokyo and Osaka.
From Sapporo its off to central Hokkaido for the coldest, driest snow on the island and a couple of stops in the Daisetsuzan range (Hokkaido's tallest mountains). This a great hub that offers access to a multitude of excellent resorts and considerably smaller crowds than the southernwestern areas of Hokkaido. Finally we will stop in for one last day at Tomamu resort before heading back to the real world. Choose to finish your trip either at the airport in Chitose or if you would prefer a last day of shopping in Sapporo, we will take you there.

New this season, our backcountry package offers an opportunity to truly get off the beaten path and into Hokkaido's legendary backcountry. The focus is still on getting as many powder turns as possible, but equipped with a qualified backcountry guide and a full set of touring equipment our options are limitless.
All of the resorts visited on this trip offer great backcountry ski terrain along with spectacular inbound, off piste areas. This means that depending on the weather we can decide on the amount of hiking versus lift accessed skiing. If we're dealing with snowy, white out conditions chances are the inbounds riding is the place to be; alternatively, if its bluebird and hasn't snowed for a few days - we'll get the goods beyond the ropes

Designed only for the most serious skiers and riders out there, this is the type of holiday that you go back to work to recover from. We will put as much into one week as possible and guarantee that you will be riding the deepest snow on the island all week long. With no set itinerary, we follow the snow to the best of the best over seven days.
Equipped with a full set of backcountry touring equipment, 2 vehicles and 2 certified backcountry guides the options are almost limitless. We will be able to tap every available option at all the resorts we visit including car shuttle runs off the back side of several resorts. Along the way, we can pull up to build kickers or hit some classic roadside pillow lines (see right). Following the ski days we will take you to the best restaurants, onsen's (hot springs) and of course out on the town to investigate the Japanese night life.
It is unlikely that we will spend more than one or two nights in any given hotel and expect at least some driving every day because the key to keeping up with the snow is mobility - so pack light and be prepared for plenty of early mornings... and late nights. Fortunately, our comfortable 4WD vans come equipped with CD players to keep you entertained and an ice box to keep the drinks cold.
This trip is as much up to you as it is us, so it's anybodys guess how things will unfold, but one thing is for sure - this will be one helluva'n excursion. As an added bonus, we've kept costs to a minimum in an effort to accomodate the real ski bums out there. There is no better value out there.
